AG is the legal use of math, logic, and observation to gain an advantage over the casino. Unlike cheating, which manipulates the game, AG exploits the game’s existing rules.
In a standard casino game, the house edge ensures that for every $100 wagered, the casino keeps a small percentage (usually 1% to 10%) over the long run.
An Advantage Player identifies specific “positive expected value” (+EV) opportunities where the math shifts. Instead of the house having the edge, the player has the edge.
Online Advantage Play
- Bonus Hunting (Sweepstakes Focus): This is the core of modern online AP. By stacking daily login bonuses, sign-up offers, and mail-in requests, you are playing with “house money.” If you play high-RTP games with these free credits, your expected return is mathematically positive.
Example:
To understand how Advantage Play works in practice, let’s look at a common promotion you might see: Pay $40 to get $75 in slot credits.
At first glance, it looks like a simple $35 bonus. But as an Advantage Player, you look at the math behind the machine you choose to play. If you take that $75 and play it on a slot with a 94% Return to Player (RTP), the math gets very interesting.*
A 94% RTP means that for every dollar wagered, the machine is mathematically designed to return 94 cents to the players over time. So, when you play through your $75 credits, the machine is expected to pay back roughly $70.50.
Now, look at your actual cost. You only spent $40 of your own money to get those credits. By the time you finish playing, you are left with an average of $70.50 in your pocket. That is a net profit of $30.50 just for clicking a few buttons.
You aren’t “gambling” in the traditional sense; you are essentially buying $70 for the price of $40.
Wait, what about luck? Of course, “variance” (luck) exists. On a single $75 run, you might get unlucky and walk away with only $50, or you might hit a bonus round and walk away with $200. However, if you do this same deal every time it’s offered, the math guarantees that you will average out to that $30 profit per run. The casino is no longer the one with the edge—you are.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Online slots generally list their RTP deep within the slot rules, choosing the highest RTP slot is important

Verifying your identity, commonly known as KYC or Know Your Customer, is a MASSIVE pain in the ass. It will literally occupy 25% of your time advantage gambling, and it’s best to have these things prepared beforehand, as the casinos WILL ask. It is highly recommended that you create a new email for all the casino spam you will receive.
Double Dipping:
I want to briefly talk about the concept I call “double dipping”. Here is a common example:
You have a casino offer of 400 Sweepstakes Coins for 300 USD. You intend to play it off on a 97% rtp slot. Excellent idea, but you may be able to do even more.
Instead, wait until the 7 pm hourly tournament starts, which also counts toward the daily tournament, and then you start spinning.
Often casinos have hourly, daily, or weekly tournaments, missions, or random prize wheel drops that can be combined with your purchase offers to drive your Expected Value to the sky!
Gaming the Games:
Make sure to read how points are awarded in any tournaments or promotions.
If the tourney gives points just for spinning, play the lowest denomination slot possible.
If a prize wheel has the same chance to drop whether you play $5 or $.05, play off your entire bonus in $.05
